Canteen cash up for grabs!
Picking a dream team for your bid
To make a successful bid, you’ll need to put in the research and some thought. And as you’ll be bidding on behalf of your school, you can’t do it all alone - you’ll get better results if you’ve got more people on your side. Think about asking fellow pupils, caterers, teachers, parents and governors for their help.
By organising a team, you can raise awareness at school, gather feedback and create the best bid to win that grant! Plus you’ll be sharing the workload (and the glory if you win).
To select a team:
- Talk to your teacher and let them know you’d like to get involved in the Canteen Rescue grant scheme.
- Once you have the go-ahead from your teacher, spread the word at school and see who else is interested in supporting your bid.
- Remember to ask the school council if they’d like to help.
- Bring it up at the next school assembly.
Your teacher is there to help
Once you’ve got a team, ask your teacher to help you plan how the bid will work alongside the rest of your studies.
Your teacher will need to register on this site for you to be able to use the Ideas Zone. They will also help you submit your bid - so make sure they’re prepared for this before you get down to work!
